If you must listen to loud music, wear headphones as this will cut down on the noise inflicted on your baby considerably-some doctors even think that vacuum cleaners are too loud so keep the noise to a dull roar as much as you can.

Babies are able to physically communicate before they can verbally communicate. This physical communication instinct is one reason that so many parents gravitate toward programs like "baby signs." They teach their babies basic signs for food, wet, sleepy, etc and it helps the babies better communicate what they want and need from their parents. Communication skills of adults who were taught physical communication style before verbal communication style are better than those who were simply taught how to talk as young kids.
