There are many toddler ride-on toys and tricycles, but now we've toddler bikes! These bikes make it easy to learn to ride a bike. It is as natural as crawling,walking and running . When looking for a bike for your toddler take a look around there are so many to chose through. I know I looked at most of them when buying my 2 children theirs over the summer. 1. The age and size of the rider -- Some toddler bikes will accommodate kids as young as 1 year old. Others require that the rider be at least be 2-3 years old and far taller.

4. Brakes? - Small children don't have the physical strength to use a hand brake. It is instinctual to pull a "Fred Flintstone" and put their own feet down when they feel unsteady.
5. Tires- Traditional air stuffed tires or Puncture evidence foam tires are your choices. The new maintenance free foam wheels are lightweight, all -terrain, hole proof and very durable. Forget about flat tires!
6. Weight- A really light toddler bike will ensure your toddler feels confident and in control. It is also easy to maneuver over obstacles like logs and pathways.
7. Price - The prices for toddler bikes range from under $100 to over $300! That is a big price difference. When shopping for a bike for your child pay attention to the details listed above and i'm confident you will find the bike that has it all for under $100!
